500 Club (12/27)

Still recouping from the holiday onslaught? Me too. So let’s escape into 500 words to help ease our minds.

Just a few rules:

  1. Write 500 words based on one of the two prompts below.
  2. Post it to your blog.
  3. Give us a small taste in the comments below along with a link to the full text.

On to the prompts.

1. Finish This Opening: Jeff’s hand shook on the handle. It was all about breaking the habit, right? Habit breaking or no, he didn’t know if he’d open it.

2. Writing Challenge: 500 Habit: The more successful writers make a habit of writing everyday. So why not start your own, if you haven’t already. In this challenge, I want you to write 500 words EVERYDAY for the next week. Dig through the 500 Club archives for prompts if you like, create your own, or pick up where you left off the day before. Just as long as you write 500 words each day. At the end, check in, and let us know how you did.

*Oh, and as always, feel free to change character names and genders as you see fit. After all, it’s your story.
