500 Club (4.25.13)
I’ve always found that you’ll never know where you could have gone if you’re too afraid to take a wrong turn. We get locked in our structured day, calendar, route, and routine. I’m convinced routine is the death of creativity. So shake things up. Use one of the following prompts to get out of your normal writing routine. Do something different.
You might like where you end up.
Just a few, let’s say, guidelines:
- Write 500 words based on one of the two prompts below.
- Post it to your blog.
- Give us a small taste in the comments below along with a link to the full text.
On to the prompts.
1. Road Trip: Write 500 words about a road trip where one or more of the travelers don’t know where they’re heading.
2. Don’t Panic!: The human race has just been served an eviction notice. In 500 words, now what?
As always, throw out the obvious. Embrace your creativity and try something new. And above all, have fun with it.
