500 Club (5.2.13)

Hello Thursday!

From April showers to May flowers. How about the Mayflower? That puts my in the mind of new discoveries. So why not look for something new in your own writing? What a splendid idea. We’ll help things along by providing some prompts.

You’re welcome.

A few guidelines (promise they’re not restricting):

  1. Write 500 words based on one of the two prompts below.
  2. Post it to your blog.
  3. Give us a small taste in the comments below along with a link to the full text.

On to the prompts.

1. Poetry in Motion: Write 500 words based around at least four lines of poetry. Does it start the story? Does it propel it? Or does it end it? Your choice.

2. For Your Father’s Sake: Write 500 words based on task given by a father. This task could either be actually commanded or inferred. Mundane or fantastic. Simple or impossible.

As always, throw out the obvious. Embrace your creativity and try something new. And above all, have fun with it.
