What I’m Reading: A confession
Last Monday came and went and I didn’t get my weekly PLC blog written. *sad trombone* This is because last Monday I was up to my eyeballs in deadlines and revisions and experiencing a serious lack of sleep. All my time and words went to the book instead of to my blog post. Last week was confession week around here, so there you go. That’s my confession.
This week we’re talking about what we’re reading. Here’s another confession: I haven’t been reading anything! Ugh. The busier I get, the less time I have to read, and the more I crave curling up on the couch with a book.
The good news is that today I sent off my revisions to my editor. Yay! Right after I finish this post, I’m going to sit my butt on the couch and reeeeeaaaaaaaad.
What am I reading?
Well, that’s an interesting story. I’m a member of the Class of 2k14 debut authors, a group of 20 authors with kid lit novels coming out this year. We’ve been sending advanced copies of our books to each other on a private ARC tour. The fun part is we make comments in each other’s books as we read them. It’s loads of fun. Not only do we get to read each others’ books before they’re released, we get to read them together as a community. I love it. But…I’m also really behind. Several of my fellow class members’ ARCs are on my nightstand waiting to be read.
Check out the 2k14 site to see what books we have coming out this year. There’s something for everyone.
Before I go, though, tell me: what are you reading?
