500 Club (7/8)

It’s time for your Thursday creative kick in the pants for the week.

First the rules:

  1. Write 500 words based on one of the two prompts below.
  2. Post it to your blog.
  3. Copy the first couple of lines in the comments below with a link to the full text.

OR…

If you don’t have your own blog or website, and you’re just dying to play along, now you can. In the sidebar on the right you’ll find a text box where you can paste your 500 words and submit it straight to us. So go for it!

And now today’s prompts:

  1. Today would be like any other day except that
  2. -or-

  3. Writing Challenge: Pick an emotion. Got it? Now write 500 words conveying that emotion without stating it. So if your emotion is anger, you couldn’t say, “She was angry.”

Let’s see what you come up with.

  2. Amy McLane says:

    FLIPPING

Today would be like any other day except it wasn’t of course. It was monkeyshines again. And by monkeyshines I mean a bunch of hulking big white guys with sharp pointy sticks wanting to hurl me off the top of a mountain.
