Fast Track Confession

This post is going to be short and…well…short. I’ve got my mommy-nurse hat on today, caring for my puking child.

Oh, were you eating? Sorry.

Me, in my favorite hat**

Since my last confession, I’ve:

  • Sent three new stories out to find homes in literary journals
  • Launched Liminal, a literary journal for teens*
  • Redesigned my blog and Twitter page to match my website
  • Redesigned this site (The Parking Lot Confessional)
  • Finished this semester’s novel-writing class
  • Received encouraging feedback on excerpts from my novel
  • Networked with some amazing authors

My goals for this month are:

  • Make the June deadline for my critique group
  • Get my submission packet sent off to SCBWI for the LA conference this summer
  • Decide which pieces will be in the inaugural issue of Liminal
  • Write one more short story and get it into circulation

I don’t know how, but I trust it’s all going to get done. Somehow, it always does.

In the meantime, back to the puking.

*If you know any creative types, aged 13-19, please encourage them to send their work in to Liminal.
**This isn’t really me, but I am kind of in love the hat.
