500 Club (3/31)

It’s Thursday! Crack open Word and lets get bizzay!

You do it like this:

1. Choose a prompt and write a 500 word flash (or use both prompts, if you’re feeling saucy).
2. Post your brand spankin’ new 500 word story on your blog.
3. Paste the first line or so in the comments below, with a link back to the rest of your story.

Don’t have a blog? No problem! Stick your story into our widget over there on the right sidebar and send it to us.

And now for today’s prompts, inspired by Save the Cat, which I am still thinking about constantly.

Prompt #1: There’s a monster in the house! The monster can be human OR inhuman.

Prompt #2: Your character is a dirty rotten scoundrel. A liar, cheat, and thief. Show her (or him) saving the cat. (If you don’t know what I mean by “saving the cat”, read this.)

Happy writing! I can’t wait to see what you do!

About Amy McLane

As Amy Beth Forbes, her work has appeared in divers locations, such as Flytrap, Kiss Machine, Realms of Fantasy, and LCRW. She is currently slaving away at a multi-book epic fantasy, and often forgets to post at personal blog smolderingink.com. Elusive and quixotic, she likes pie, but wouldn’t say no to cake.
